2017 Vintage

The 2017 vintage in Rioja enjoyed favourable conditions, resulting in wines characterised by ripe fruit flavours, balanced acidity and pronounced tannins. The growing cycle was optimal, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly. High-quality grapes were harvested from our vineyards, and the wines from this vintage display a harmonious blend of good structure and fruit expression.

Own Vineyards

Faustino Ten 2017 Gran Reserva is born in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, in two of its most privileged enclaves: ‘Los Trinos’ in Laguardia and ‘Carasol’ in Oyón. The grapes are 85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano, selected in different passes, respecting the natural evolution of each bunch. In the winery, an exhaustive selection was made, grape by grape, and only the most perfect fruit was used for fermentation.

Unique Production Process

Production: 14 days of primary fermentation at a maximum temperature of 28°, which extracted the full potential of the skins without harshness, leaving them in contact for several days. The secondary fermentation ended in late November, after gentle racking that refined the texture and harmonised the character.

One of the unique features of this wine is the use of indigenous yeasts, isolated and selected exclusively from our own vineyards. After years of research and microvinification, we identified the strains that best reflect the personality of our environment, where we use not only our own grapes but also our own microorganisms, to produce a wine that is completely authentic, unique and inimitable.
